It can take an hour or more for the anesthesia to wear off, so be careful to not bite or nibble on the numb area.
It is normal for you to experience some mild sensitivity and pain after the local anesthetic wears off.
Your dentist may prescribe medication to help with the pain and swelling after the root canal treatment. Some of the Do’s and Don’ts after Root Canal Treatment:
  • Have a soft diet for the first few days
  • Avoid chewing on your treated tooth until your permanent crown is placed
  • Take medication as prescribed by the dentist. (If required)
  • Maintain a good oral hygiene
  • Return to see your dentist if your temporary filling breaks in between your appointments.
