What are the steps to fabricate dentures?
The dentist will examine your mouth, including your jaw, gums, and any remaining teeth. If required, a dental x-ray will also be taken to check the thickness of the bone.
There are 4 steps to fabricate a denture:
Taking dental impressions
Customizing wax registration blocks
Trying the denture fit
Issuing of denture
Fabrication of dentures may take 4-5 appointments excluding implant-supported dentures. A follow-up review appointment is scheduled for a month after the denture is issued to check for any adjustments or polishing.

Aftercare of Dentures
Proper care and maintenance help keep your dentures in good condition. Here are a few aftercare tips to take care of your dentures:
Remove your dentures at the end of every day
Clean your dentures using a toothbrush
Soak your dentures overnight in water or denture solution
Brush your gums, tongue and any remaining teeth twice a day to remove plaque and debris
Visit your dentist every 6 months for a routine check up
It differs from person to person. It can take a few weeks to a few months to get used to your new dentures. Keep in mind you may need several adjustments during the first couple of weeks to achieve your desired fit.
It is advisable to remove your dentures when sleeping as wearing dentures to sleep can cause pressure and irritation to the palate and soft tissue, this may lead to ulcers, white patches, redness, and shrinkage of the jawbone.
